Future Day at L+F

On November 9, the time had come:
On Future Day, we opened our doors to curious children. They were able to try out different professions, play the game “hot wire,” and even make their own raclette oven!

Eight children visited us on November 9 for Future Day 2023.
Under the motto “changing sides,” we invited girls and boys to gain insight into unfamiliar areas and to question common assumptions about what women and men are supposedly good or bad at. First on the agenda was the sales department. There, the children learned exactly what we manufacture and sell. They were then allowed to design their first oven (a raclette oven) in the design department, which was laser-cut, bent, and painted in the afternoon. They also had the opportunity to explore the electrical engineering department, where they made their own “hot wire” game. This required a great deal of dexterity to solder the various cables together. Tired and full of new ideas about what they might learn later in life, the day came to an end.
